Virtual Playdate

Our best friends' kids, Colin & Zoe, are spending the summer at their grandparents'. We went to their house last night and the kids got to Skype with their friends. It was so cute, they both had the best chats with them and told us that it was a private conversation, to please give them space! I guess they had a lot to catch up on. 

Sometimes I take for granted how much things have changed. I remember going through a ride at Epcot when I was about 10, and the "future world" had the mom talking to her kids via a computer while she was away on business. I didn't really believe we'd be doing exactly that one day! And now everyone (including me) is so blasé about it, since Skyping is so easy. Anyway, pretty cool to think how far we've come!
